This policy explains how The Jackals (“we”, “us”) collect and use personal data on thejackalsmusic.com and this local preview of the same site. We are a Belgrade-based music project. For privacy requests write to thejackals.project@gmail.com. Booking questions go to thejackals.booking@gmail.com.
We handle data under the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection and, where it applies to visitors in the EU/EEA, the GDPR. Until live registration is connected, event forms on this preview do not send or store your details. The rules below describe how the live site will work.
1. Why we collect data
We collect only what we need to run the project and our events:
- to issue your entry pass and write to you about that session (time, place, door info, cancellation);
- to recognise you at the door and keep capacity under control;
- if you opt in, to tell you about future The Jackals events;
- to answer booking and project mail that you send us;
- to keep the site working, remember your cookie choice, and understand basic security of the service.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for unrelated advertising networks.
2. What we collect
When you request a pass we ask for:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your Instagram or TikTok username, and which of the two it is;
- the event you registered for;
- required consent for that event’s pass and notices;
- optional consent for future-event information.
We ask for a social handle so we can write to you personally about the session. Email is used to send the pass and event notices.
If you email us, we also process the address and the content of that message. Server logs (IP address, browser type, time of visit) may be created by our host when the public site is live. We do not run a separate marketing pixel on this site.
3. Legal grounds
- Pass and event notices — we need this data to give you the pass you asked for (contract / steps before a contract) and to run the night safely.
- Future-event messages — only if you tick the optional box (consent). You can withdraw it any time by writing to us.
- Cookie preference — stored so we do not show the same notice on every visit (legitimate interest in a working site, and consent where required).
- Mail you send us — to reply to your request.
4. How long we keep it
Registration data for a session is kept as long as needed to run that event and handle follow-up (for example no-shows or a date change), then deleted or anonymised within 24 months after the event unless a longer period is required by law. Optional future-event contacts are kept until you ask us to stop or until we close that list. Emails you send are kept as long as the conversation is still needed.
5. Who can see it
Access is limited to The Jackals and people who help us operate the site or events (hosting, email delivery, a future registration database). They may process data only on our instructions.
If you click third-party content, those services process data under their own policies:
- TikTok — video embeds on About;
- SoundCloud — DJ sets;
- Google Drive — press archive;
- Instagram, YouTube, Spotify — outbound profile links.
The public site is planned to run through Cloudflare. That provider may process technical data to deliver and protect the site.
6. Cookies
We use a small preference record on your device so the cookie notice stays closed after you accept it. That is the only cookie / local storage we set ourselves.
We do not set advertising cookies. Embedded players and Drive previews may set their own cookies when you play or open them. See those companies’ policies for details. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still open, but the notice may appear again and some embeds may not remember playback.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it, where the law allows;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive a copy in a portable format;
- withdraw consent for future-event mail.
Write to thejackals.project@gmail.com from the address you registered with. You can also lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection in Serbia, or with your local EU supervisory authority if GDPR applies to you.
8. Age
The site is aimed at adults. Door policy and any age limit are stated per event. Do not register a minor without the authority to do so.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you have read the new version.
